West End Child Care Center

West End Child Care Center was established in the summer of 1970 to provide half-day services in the educational wing of the Evangelical United Church of Christ

It eventually expanded into a full-time licensed daycare center receiving federal and state grants. In 1993, WECCC was the only federally licensed daycare center in the county. 

Currently, WECCC participates in a subsidized childcare program through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services—Division of Child Care the Department of Human Services to provide affordable childcare services to low-income families.

WECCC has moved to 632 Ninth Street and continues operating under the auspices of SCM. Maximum capacity is 84 children ranging from infants to school age. The Agency operates under the leadership of Valerie Bowling.
